Opening Ceremony of the "Virtually Versailles" Exhibition

The opening ceremony, held on 19 April 2023, was officiated by Mr Kevin Yeung, GBS, JP, Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; Mrs Christile Drulhe, Consul General of France in Hong Kong and Macau; Ms Catherine Pégard, President of the Palace of Versailles; Mrs Mignonne Cheng, Co-chairman of the Board of French May Arts Festival; Dr Gabriel Leung, Executive Director, Charities and Community of The Hong Kong Jockey Club; Mr Hugo Leung, Chief Executive Officer, BNP Paribas Hong Kong; Mr Vincent Liu Ming-kwong, JP, Director of Leisure and Cultural Services; Mr Brian Lam, Museum Director of Hong Kong Heritage Museum; and Ms Karena Lam, Ambassador of French May Arts Festival.

 

Officiating guests conduct the ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking the official opening of the exhibition.

Mr Xavier Mahé, General Manager of French May Arts Festival, put on a VR headset to experience a 360 degree virtual tour of the Palace of Versailles.
