"Dunhuang － Untold Tales, Untold Riches" Exhibition Closes with Accolade for its Interactive Contents

The exhibition "Dunhuang － Untold Tales, Untold Riches" closed on 16 March 2015. Many visitors will probably remember the audio guide named "Portable Dunhuang Story Player".

The audio guide was jointly produced by the Hong Kong Heritage Museum and the Hong Kong Repertory Theatre. It was the first time that selected exhibits have been narrated in the form of lively radio dramas. The Museum made the audio guide into a smartphone application to make it more visitor-friendly, while employing the Indoor Positioning System was pioneered to enhance interaction between visitors and the exhibits. Visitors only had to download the application with their smartphones and they could have their personal docent of the exhibition. We are deeply honoured that the audio guide application won the Gold Award of the Best Mobile Apps (Mobile Edutainment) of Hong Kong ICT Awards.
