Hong Kong Railway Museum
Introdcution
Situated in the town center of Tai Po Market, the Hong Kong Railway Museum is an open-air museum occupying some 6,500 square meters converted from the old Tai Po Railway Station. Erected in 1913, the station building features the pitched roof of traditional Chinese building. It was declared a monument in 1984, refurbished and opened as a museum in 1985.

Mondays, Wednesday to Sunday
(including public holidays) : 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Closed on Tuesdays, Christmas day, Boxing day, New Year's day and the first
three days of Chinese New Year

Exploring is the history of the local railway transportation, the exhibits include the historic station building, six historical coaches, a narrow gauge steam locomotive and a diesel electric engine No.51.
