Design Exhibition Series 1

Jointly presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC) and, this exhibition introduces the history of banknote design in Hong Kong and features changes in banknote design dating back more than a century. On display for the first time will be banknotes, sketches, artwork and printing plates selected from HSBC's collection, and the newly launched 2003 banknote series together with an accompanying video commissioned for the exhibition by HSBC. The exhibition should provide a better understanding of the banknote design process.


To coincide with the exhibition, public guided tours will be organized in this quarter. For details, please refer to "Public Programmes" section on this website. More, "Banknote That Tell a Story: a Quiz a Week" will be held during the exhibition period. 5 lucky visitors who have purchased admission tickets to the museum the chance will be drawn weekly to win special gifts from HSBC.
