Road to Creativity in Art – Exhibition of Student Portfolios and Artworks
Function Place,
Hong Kong Heritage Museum
02 November 2006 - 15 November 2006

Presented by the Hong Kong Society for Education in Art with the support of the Hong Kong Heritage Museum

To stimulate children's creativity and provide an exciting environment for exploring, solving and learning, the Hong Kong Society for Education in Art (HKSEA) organised an orientation programme named “Creative Student Award Scheme”, in which it invited teachers from nine schools – including kindergartens and primary and secondary schools – to collect portfolios and works of art from their students over the past year. The HKSEA has now selected the most creative works to present to the public at the “Road to Creativity in Art” exhibition.

Showcasing the portfolios and works of art of students of different ages, the exhibition allows us to appreciate the characteristics that come to the fore as students develop their aesthetic creativity. The art on display also fits in with the Hong Kong Heritage Museum's theme for 2006, “Leisure and Entertainment”, so come and see how this theme is interpreted through children's eyes.
