I Am What I Am (2021) Film Screening

The animated film I Am What I Am draws its creative inspiration from the intangible cultural heritage of "lion dance" in Hong Kong. It tells the uplifting story of Gyun, a young Cantonese boy from a village, and his friends as they navigate adversity in pursuit of their dreams. With an emotionally resonant plot, stunning visuals, and a rich infusion of Lingnan culture, the film is regarded as one of the most heartfelt domestic animated productions in recent years.
