There are six permanent exhibition galleries for the display of the museum's collections and six thematic galleries for temporary exhibitions.

Theatre

With a seating capacity of 350, the multipurpose theatre is a sophisticated venue for Cantonese opera, musical performances, lectures, seminars, ceremonies and multimedia presentations.

Education studios and Seminar rooms

Education studios and seminar rooms

The Seminar Room and the Education Studio serve as suitable venues for the museum’s in-house educational and extension activities, such as talks, demonstrations, workshops, and training classes.

Notice of Closure of Hong Kong Heritage Museum Public Car Park
The public car park at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum has been closed from 1 August 2025 onward to facilitate the Trunk Road T4 construction project, and the site has been handed over to the Civil Engineering and Development Department for related works.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Free Bicycle Parking Area

For visitors who cycle to the museum, we have also set up a free bicycle parking area. Please contact our enquiry counter for the location of parking area. However, you should bring your own bicycle lock.

Larger items must be deposit in reception, free lockers are available for smaller items.

 
The Museum strives to provide a barrier-free access for all. Wheelchairs can be borrowed at the Information Counter at G/F subject to availability. Coaches from rehabilitation centres may drop off visitors at the museum's covered car park which leads directly to the museum lobby.
